If you’re like the rest of us, you’re still trying to pick your jaw up after witnessing Miles Bridges absolutely posterize Clint Capela. But he’s done much more than put Capela on a poster lately.

In fact, Bridges is having one of his best runs as a basketball player in his entire career. Yes, that includes both his high school and Michigan State days. He’s arguably playing the best basketball of his career, piecing together a huge game against the Nets on Friday.

Against Brooklyn, Bridges scored 33 points with nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block. He shot 13-for-18 from the floor and 6-of-10 from 3-point range, proving that this wasn’t just all dunks and close-range buckets.

This capped off an incredible five-game stretch that shows that he may have just turned a corner as a player.

During this stretch, Bridges is averaging 23 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while shooting around 56 percent from the floor and over 43 percent from 3-point range. It seems as if the third-year player and former Spartan is figuring it all out.

Miles Bridges is doing it all

The Hornets have been decimated due to injuries and Bridges has been forced to step up. He’s done just that and more despite Charlotte going just 1-4 during this red-hot stretch.

Charlotte is down Malik Monk, Devonte’ Graham, Gordon Hayward, LaMelo Ball, and now PJ Washington. The team is basically just a list of injured players.

Bridges has stepped up as the leader and he’s playing with confidence and a purpose.

But this has started to take place even as the month of April began. In fact, when the calendar turned a few weeks ago, Bridges was averaging around 10 points and five rebounds per game. In April, he’s averaging 19.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, shooting 55 percent from the floor and 47 percent from 3-point range.

Remember when Dan Dakich said that Bridges has no game? Yeah, this pretty much proves he had no idea what he was talking about, per usual.
