Atlanta-based rapper Waka Flocka Flame was on ‘Pardon My Take’ on Wednesday and spoke highly of Michigan State football’s Keon Coleman.

Keon Coleman has been garnering a ton of attention lately.

The Michigan State signee had one of the most impressive high school basketball seasons of anyone in the country, seemingly dropping 40-50 every single night and that was after a strong football campaign. He’s been considered one of the best dual-sport athletes in the nation.

Although his competition on the court in Louisiana hasn’t been top-notch, he has caught the attention of some big names.

One big name? Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame.

He appeared on the ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast to talk about anything and everything with sports mixed in and the host (Big Cat from Barstool Sports) asked him who has caught his eye as the next big star.

“He literally jumps out the gym. Like (bleep) Vince Carter.”

It’s clear that even though Flocka doesn’t know his name, he’s talking about Coleman. He said that he’s from Louisiana, he’s super athletic, he’s in high school and he plays two sports. There’s no other prospect from that state who fits the description.

Not a bad sign that people all over the country are taking notice of a Michigan State signee and it just goes to show that the talent on the football side of things is improving drastically.

Tom Izzo will also get a chance to utilize Coleman’s talent as he’s committed for football but the deal was he’d be able to play basketball, too. He’s going to be one heck of a two-sport star in East Lansing.
