2. Marcus Bingham Jr. guarding Hunter Dickinson

Michigan State has done a decent job with bigs for the past few weeks when Tom Izzo does one simple thing: give Marcus Bingham Jr. the minutes he deserves.

While Bingham Jr. isn’t going to score 10-15 points a night, he is a menace on the defensive side of the ball and he’s helped hold guys like Trayce Jackson-Davis, Kofi Cockburn and Luka Garza in check. He may have a slight frame, but he can hold his own and his length causes a lot of problems for opposing bigs in the post.

Hunter Dickinson might be the most consistent big man in the conference this season not named Garza. He’s been putting up 15-20 points a game with ease and shoots about 61 percent from the floor. He shot 75 percent against the Spartans in the first meeting on Thursday night, scoring 14 points with 10 rebounds.

Bingham Jr. only played 12 minutes.

That needs to be increased.

We need to see Bingham Jr. matched up with Dickinson for a good portion of the game which will make him work for every bucket instead of getting a free shot at the hoop with Julius Marble or Thomas Kithier guarding him.
