2. More of this Rocket Watts, please

To start the year, I think I can speak for all Michigan State fans when I say that Rocket Watts was expected to be a star. He finished his freshman campaign on a high note and even Cassius Winston was ready to hand the keys to him as the next guard to come through the program and be the face of it.

Watts has struggled all year and it probably had something to do with being put in a position to be the starting point guard even though that’s not what he was recruited as. That’s not his natural position. Confidence suffered because of it.

On Sunday, he looked much more confident.

Although he missed a bad layup early on when he was contested and it felt like another one of those games for the sophomore guard, he didn’t let it get him down. He kept shooting and when he saw that first jumper drop, he carried that momentum with him throughout the game. He finished with 21 points and four assists, capping off arguably his best game of the season.

More of this Rocket moving forward, please.
