1. Michigan State shocks the Fighting Illini

If I have Michigan State pulling off an upset on my bold predictions every week, it’s bound to happen at least once, right?

I’ve predicted plenty of MSU upset wins this season that haven’t come to fruition, but this one feels a little different. The feeling around the program right now is hopeful. For the first time in weeks, there’s a slight amount of momentum. Sure, the Spartans had a two-game winning streak, but those wins over Nebraska and Penn State didn’t exactly feel good.

The Indiana win actually felt good. It felt different.

Illinois comes to town expecting to just run through the Spartans but with some confidence and momentum on their side, they’re going to shock the Fighting Illini.

Michigan State will get a huge game from Aaron Henry and a bounce-back performance from Joey Hauser and all it will need is a decent game from someone like Rocket Watts, Joshua Langford or Gabe Brown to really put the Spartans over the top.

This one will go down to the wire, but MSU will come out with a huge Quad 1 win.
