1. This team didn’t fold when it would’ve been easy to do so

Down 19-6 and with no momentum, it would have been easy for a 10-9 Michigan State team to call it a day and mail it in. The Spartans didn’t do that.

It could have been yet another blowout loss for Michigan State and no one would have really batted an eye. It would have been par for the course for Michigan State this season.

But Michigan State was sick of letting that be the narrative of 2020-21.

The Spartans bounced back to pull within four at halftime. And then Indiana extended that lead in the second half to nine and it looked like the Hoosiers would just pull away and finish the Spartans and their NCAA Tournament hopes for good.

Michigan State didn’t let that happen.

Gabe Brown came off the bench and caught fire with a couple of huge threes in the second half, Joshua Langford had a huge run of his own down the stretch, Rocket Watts looked like he got some confidence back and Aaron Henry was a hero all game.

This team may be down, but it’s not out just yet and this fight that it showed on Saturday afternoon returned some hope.
