1. MSU loses another heart-breaker

Michigan State remembers what happened a little over a month ago in East Lansing. Riding a two-game winning streak and coming off a 23-point win over a ranked Rutgers team, the Spartans looked like they were getting back on track and turning a corner. They built a 17-point lead over Purdue in the second half and looked to be cruising to another win.

And then Trevion Williams happened. After getting held to two first-half points thanks to a strong defensive performance from Marcus Bingham Jr. and Co. but Tom Izzo was responsible for questionable rotations in the post late in the game like putting Joey Hauser on Williams which led to a tough loss.

Michigan State wants revenge.

And for about 38 minutes, it’ll look like the Spartans will get it, but they’ll cough up a five-point lead with two minutes left to lose to the Boilermakers in heartbreaking fashion for the second time this year.

This could be the nail in Michigan State’s NCAA Tournament coffin.
