2. Aaron Henry will lead all scorers

The last time these two teams met, Aaron Henry had a decent game with 13 points and seven rebounds but he was out-classed by a monster second half from Trevion Williams. Henry did all he could to make sure the Spartans were in the game and even helped build a 17-point lead, but Williams led all scorers with 24 second-half points.

Henry is going to out-class Williams in this one, scoring a game-high 23 points with eight rebounds and four assists. He’ll have one of his best games of the season but the question will remain: will it be enough?

There’s no doubt that Henry has been the most consistent starter for the Spartans this season and he knows that if this team is going to make the tournament, he’s going to have to carry it. He will have to do what he’s been doing but MSU needs him to score 20-25 points per game.

Purdue has played some solid defense this season but Henry can be a matchup nightmare. Expect to see more of him driving and slashing which will force double-teams that can help the offense. He’ll have quite the game himself with those 23 points including three big 3-pointers.
