It will forever be a mystery to me why Julius Marble doesn’t get more minutes. Tom Izzo sees that Marble is productive when he’s in and plays with a fire that a lot of guys on this team just don’t have but yet he only gives him 8.4 minutes.

How? Why? For what reason?

Did Marble miss a team meeting? Did he stay out past curfew? It just doesn’t make sense. Michigan State has a post issue and Marble seems to give it his all every time he’s on the floor. He’s averaging 4.2 points and 2.3 rebounds in just eight minutes while shooting an efficient 64 percent from the floor.

Play this man.

Granted, Marble needs to work on his defense as he gets caught reaching in or bodying bigs when they go up for shots, but once he figures that out, he’s going to be a solid presence in the post.

But you can’t tell me he only deserves 8.4 minutes per game which is less than half of Malik Hall’s minutes, slightly more than half of Thomas Kithier’s and slightly more than a third of Joey Hauser’s.

Come on, Tom.
