Jeremiah Caldwell is the only recruit on this list who is currently committed elsewhere. So why does he make the cut? Well, Mel Tucker and Michigan State made sure he felt that he was a priority this past week, sending him an offer which shows that they aren’t done recruiting him even though he’s a Kentucky pledge.

Michigan State has lost enough prospects to Kentucky over the past few years that stealing one would only feel right. The Wildcats keep dipping into the state of Michigan for the top prospects and Tucker is trying to stop that.

Caldwell is a Belleville prospect which may not work out well in the Spartans’ favor anymore after losing Davion Williams, Julian Barnett and Devontae Dobbs to the transfer portal this offseason, but in the past, it was a Michigan State pipeline. Maybe that can be restored here.

Listed as an athlete, Caldwell can play receiver or cornerback with his athleticism and 6-3, 170-pound frame. He has just a handful of offers and recently committed to Kentucky, but the Spartans are making a push.

Caldwell is ranked the No. 317 overall prospect in the class and as the 10th-best athlete, according to the composite.
