1. Michigan State covers the spread

I have swung and missed multiple times this season in my bold predictions posts regarding the spread but I just feel as if the Spartans made a move in the right direction on Tuesday, nearly pulling off a massive road upset of Iowa.

That performance against Iowa was refreshing because the team finally showed some heart and when everyone buys in, the Spartans can hang with or beat just about anyone.

This team is far too talented to just wither away in 2020-21 without a fight and the Iowa game may have been the start of a turnaround. Plus, the return of the war drill is going to pay dividends for these guys as they’ll be toughened up. Nebraska isn’t very good, but no win in the Big Ten will come easy. The line is around 11.5 in favor of the Spartans and I think they cover.

Michigan State hasn’t had many easy wins this year but this one may finally be a game without much drama which will be a breath of fresh air.

Maybe this kickstarts a run to the NCAA Tournament.
