Where will the top remaining 2021 National Signing Day targets for Michigan State football sign on Wednesday? Here’s our best prediction.

Mel Tucker is closing in on his official first recruiting class at Michigan State and while it may not be filled with four and five-star prospects, the Spartans have some big names left on the board with National Signing Day approaching.

Tucker has a class that’s teetering on the top 35-40 range and if he can finish inside that area, he’ll be set up for an even more impressive 2022 class.

National Signing Day is Wednesday, though, and Michigan State has three targets remaining.

Where will the Spartans’ top remaining targets end up?

In case you couldn’t already tell by the logo by Davon Townley’s name above, my prediction here is for him to say ‘no thanks’ to a couple of Pac-12 teams courting him hard and pick the Nittany Lions and James Franklin.

Why? Because Penn State has been recruiting him as long as anyone and the relationship he has with Franklin is nearly unmatched.

As Michigan State fans, we should be hoping the four-star defensive end picks a school in a different conference so he doesn’t haunt the Spartans for the next 3-4 years, but it looks like Townley is going to be headed to either Penn State, Nebraska or Washington (who just offered).

Honestly, it wouldn’t be shocking if he picked Washington as it was a big offer for him, but they may have been slightly too late to the party.

Prediction: Penn State
