2. Rocket Watts finally gets his confidence back as go-to scorer

Before the season, the general assumption was that Rocket Watts would be the team’s go-to scorer and take over the void left by Cassius Winston.

No, he wouldn’t be the same type of player because the two are polar opposites with their styles of play, but he would be that guy the team looked to when it needed a clutch bucket. He would be the run-stopper for the Spartans. He would be ‘the guy’ which this team desperately needed.

Unfortunately, he has been anything but those things.

Maybe the pressure everyone put on him was too much or maybe he just didn’t gel at the point guard spot which caused him to lose his confidence, but whatever the case, he just looks like a shell of his freshman year self which is a nightmare situation for this team.

But in February, he’s going to get some of his confidence back and start looking like that go-to player that the team needs if it’s going to even have a shot at the postseason.

Rocket may not be a 20 points per game scorer in February, but he’ll have his best month of the season and average over 10 points while looking like a completely different player from November-January.
