1. MSU loses, but actually has positive signs

In the past two losses, I’ve had a tough time coming up with anything positive to say about Michigan State. Against Rutgers, the team looked lifeless in the second half. I guess I can say that it was positive that they came back from a 15-0 deficit to start the game to pull within three at one point in the first half, but that’s really it.

And against Ohio State? I honestly don’t have a positive thing to say. The Spartans weren’t as bad against the Buckeyes, but they still looked lifeless and couldn’t shoot.

This team’s offense has been a disaster and the rebounding has been just as bad.

Against Iowa, I think that this team will finally look competent on offense and will hang with Luka Garza and the Hawkeyes on the glass. I do believe the Spartans lose this one, but they’ll cover the 10.5-point spread and guys like Marcus Bingham Jr., Joey Hauser and Rocket Watts will have nice performances to provide much-needed bright spots.

At this point, any positives could go a long way for this struggling team.
