1. Michigan State covers, falls just short

The line for Sunday’s game has shuffled a bit from opening at eight points in favor of the Buckeyes down to 6.5 as of Saturday night, but I’ll go with somewhere in the middle at 7.5.

Many people are hammering the Buckeyes and the points here with how poorly the Spartans have been playing this season and that’s a safe bet, especially with Michigan State fresh off a 30-point road loss against a worse Rutgers team just three days prior.

But Michigan State is going to come out swinging. There’s just no way this team goes down 15-0 again, right?

I can admit that I was way off with my last prediction for the Rutgers game, saying that MSU was going to get off to a hot start (exact opposite happened) and cruise to a win (definitely didn’t happen), but for some reason, I think the Spartans will at least keep this one competitive.

Michigan State’s not going to win this game, but the Spartans will make it interesting and cover the 7.5-point spread.
