Slightly ahead of Davon Townley in terms of priority for Michigan State has to be Keon Coleman, a four-star receiver from Louisiana who is also a two-sport athlete, being recruited as well by Tom Izzo.

Although he’d be on a full football scholarship, there’s no way Izzo says no to adding him to the basketball roster, especially since he seems to be dropping 50-point games left and right at the high school level this season. He’s quite the athlete and he wouldn’t be the first football recruit to take a liking to Michigan State due to the potential to play for Izzo as well.

Coleman looks the part of a talented wide receiver at the collegiate level, catching 35 passes for 1,143 yards and an astounding 22 touchdowns as a junior. That’s right, he turned a reception into a touchdown more than 50 percent of the time.

The Louisiana-native is a speedy, but long, receiver who can stretch the field and be that go-to target or home-run threat that the Spartans will need down the line. Just imagine the connection he could build with Hamp Fay in a couple of years.

Coleman was once committed to Kansas before reopening his recruitment and recently had Michigan State in his top six schools list. The 6-4, 200-pounder is ranked the No. 40 receiver in the country, per 247Sports.
