Malik Hall: B+

Malik Hall got the most minutes off the bench with 27 and that was second-most on the team only trailing Aaron Henry who had 35. He’s starting to look like the team’s sixth man and if he can add some offense to his game, he’s going to be a serious threat. Currently, he’s playing solid defense and just contributing good minutes in the post. He finished with five points and four rebounds, making both of his shot attempts while playing solid defense.

Gabe Brown: C+

It wasn’t the best night for Gabe Brown as he made some questionable decisions with a couple of bad turnovers and he was just 1-for-4 from the floor. He scored four points but had a bad shot attempt late in the game which resulted in a turnover when Michigan State needed a score in the worst way. He needs to be smarter in those situations.

Rocket Watts: B

Rocket Watts came off the bench again while he tries to get his confidence back and while he was missing shots he would normally make all game long, he ended the contest quite possibly the best way imaginable: with a step-back, confidence-inducing 3-pointer. This is what he needed. He finished with 11 points on 3-of-8 shooting and assists in 15 minutes. His minutes will increase when he gets back to his old self.

Foster Loyer: C

We didn’t see much of Foster Loyer on Tuesday night, but he got bullied a bit on defense and had a really bad turnover. Not a banner night, by any means.

Mady Sissoko: B+

OK, we need to see more Mady Sissoko. Like we really have to, right? Mady is playing like a grown man on defense and needs to be the top option in the post moving forward. In just four minutes, he had two grown-man blocks and two rebounds. More minutes, please.

Marcus Bingham Jr.: C+

Not a great game for Marcus Bingham Jr., especially if he’s trying to crack the regular rotation. He did score three points, but he went up very week in the post on multiple occasions when he should have dunked and he also had a bad turnover. He did have a block and a rebound, but he’s not making the most of his limited minutes currently.
