3. Aaron Henry averages 20 points per game

Aaron Henry is off to a good start in the month of January, coming off a career-high 27-point performance against Nebraska. I think this is a sign of things to come.

Tom Izzo has expressed the need for an ‘alpha dog’ on the team and he even admitted that not having one through the first couple of months has been an issue. The Spartans just haven’t looked like the same team that they were when Cassius Winston and Xavier Tillman were there to lead. Henry knows he needs to take control.

Henry may not be the most vocal leader, but what he can do is lead with his play. He did that against the Cornhuskers and now he’ll do that for the rest of the month as one of the Big Ten’s best players.

Confidence has returned to his game and when that happens, he’s one of the toughest guys to guard in the entire conference. He shot 10-for-16 against Nebraska and 3-for-5 from deep. I expect that type of shooting stroke to continue and he’ll keep showing aggressiveness with the ball in his hands.

Henry will have the best month of his career, averaging somewhere around 20 points per game.
