1. Capturing a third consecutive Big Ten title vs. Ohio State

No one could have expected Michigan State to win a third straight title after struggling in the middle of Big Ten play and falling completely out of the AP Top 25.

But the 2019-20 season was just that crazy.

On March 8, Michigan State hosted Ohio State with a chance to secure at least a share of the conference title and they did just that. Michigan State controlled the game and things got tight in the second half before Cassius Winston went out with a bang and put the Buckeyes away before kissing the logo at midcourt on his way out.

Little did we know this was the last time we’d see Cassius and Xavier Tillman in a Michigan State uniform which is why this win and title is that much sweeter and more memorable.

The celebration following the win over Ohio State was epic as players were in the stands celebrating with fans and tears were flowing with Winston’s storied career over.

Michigan State’s run of three straight titles capped off with this memorable win in Cassius’ last game had to be the top moment of 2020.
