Center: Julius Marble

One of two new faces that should be in the starting lineup moving forward, Julius Marble continues to play solid minutes and he’s actually a strength on the offensive end.

Marble played just four (!!) minutes against Minnesota, scoring two points, making his only field goal attempt. He was basically a non-factor and maybe that’s why the Gophers were able to do whatever they wanted in the post and why the rebounding battle was so lopsided.

On the season, he’s averaging 4.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in just under eight minutes per game. That’s about as efficient as you can be in just 7.4 minutes so just imagine what he could do if he was given Thomas Kithier’s minutes. He would be somewhere in the ballpark of 10 points and six rebounds which may be just what this lineup needs next to Joey Hauser.

And Marble shoots about 74 percent from the field.

Tom Izzo needs to give this kid his minutes because he deserves them and he’s shown that in extremely limited action this year. Marble needs to start over Kithier moving forward.
