1. Davon Townley, DE, North Senior (Minn.)

Michigan State signed three defensive linemen and still has Rayshaun Benny who will be the fourth. Despite that, Davon Townley is still on the radar of Michigan State coaches.

Also, it’s absolutely no surprise but Townley is a former basketball star who is tall and long. Tucker has made an emphasis on adding more size and length to the defense and Townley checks those boxes. He is 6-foot-6, 220-pounds and plays with his speed and quickness along the edge.

Right now, Arizona State leads the crystal ball predictions on 247sports. Even though Michigan State might not be the leader, they still have a chance in Townley’s recruitment as the late signing approaches.

The Spartan defensive line has some young talent, but adding another talented athlete to the room will not hurt. Townley is a four-star prospect and would be one of the highest players in the class if he were to sign.

This recruitment might be an uphill battle, but it’s been proven Tucker can win a prospect back in the final days leading up to a decision. Michigan State could be a player here as the days proceed towards signing day.
