Following a decommitment from Texas, center Michael Myslinkski is back on the market for a possible flip to Michigan State football.

When offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic got to East Lansing he made it known he wanted Jacksonville, Florida, offensive lineman Michael Myslinski in the 2021 class. After a long hard-fought battle, Michigan State ended up losing out to Texas.

Things have changed since August, though. Myslinski has committed from Texas and is now someone the staff will push aggressively ahead of the February signing day.

Myslinski is rated a consensus three-star prospect by the recruiting services and holds offers from some elite schools, especially when It comes to evaluating offensive linemen. Along with Texas and Michigan State, Myslinski has offers from Iowa, Oregon, Maryland, Florida State, Arkansas, Missouri and a handful of others.

Spartan Nation knows this is big-time news in terms of recruiting, and it has not taken long for current commits getting Myslinski’s attention to Michigan State fans on Twitter.

And 247Sports Director of Recruiting thinks it’s a two-headed race going forward with the Spartans and Iowa attempting to gain the commitment from Myslinski.

The Michigan State coaching staff has been relentless on the recruiting trail, as they still have not stopped their contact with Myslinski. Beating out Iowa will not be easy, though. The Hawkeyes are known for offensive line development and their physical brand of football.

The offensive line class Michigan State is bringing in is already strong, so why not make it even stronger? The struggles upfront are being addressed by the staff which is something that is very positive in terms of the future outlook for the program.

If there is one thing we know about Mel Tucker is he does not give up on the recruiting trail, as this is another example. Watch out for Myslinski because he could be the next player to commit to the Spartans’ 2021 recruiting class.
