1. MSU plays its most complete game of the year

It’s been an interesting season for Michigan State. The Spartans might be 4-0 with a couple of convincing wins, but there have been zero complete games for this team.

In fact, Tom Izzo has been open about his guys not finishing games strong. In three out of four games, the Spartans didn’t close, sacrificing huge leads for much closer finishes. Against Mercy, it was the opposite as the Spartans needed a strong finish to avoid a major upset at home. In zero of those games, Michigan State put together a complete effort.

Michigan State started strong against Eastern Michigan and then struggled in the final minutes to make things look closer. The same happened against Notre Dame. And against Duke, the Spartans got behind early and looked lost before going on a run and taking a convincing lead before nearly falling apart in the final minutes.

It’s about time this team has a complete game and I think it’ll happen on Sunday night against Western Michigan as the Spartans win by at least 20-25 points.
