2. MSU will have two 20-point scorers

Detroit Mercy hasn’t exactly been known for its defense over the years and the Titans don’t have the athletes that Michigan State has. It’s going to be a night of mismatches as Breslin Center.

For that reason, I think we’ll see two Spartans record at least 20 points.

Who will it be? My favorite right now would have to be Rocket Watts who’s been rolling since a shaky opener against Eastern Michigan. He posted 13 points against Notre Dame and then a team-high 20 against Duke. If he can continue that upward trajectory, he’ll be posting 20-plus point games regularly. This will be one of those instances.

Along with Watts, two candidates stand out. One is Aaron Henry who has been an absolute stat-sheet stuffer supreme this season. He isn’t always looking for his own shot, though.

The other would have to be Joey Hauser who everyone is just waiting to break out. This could be his coming-out party in a Spartan uniform.

No matter what combo does it, the Spartans will have two 20-point scorers against Detroit.
