1. Michigan State wins

Duke is ranked No. 6 in the country and Michigan State is sitting firm at No. 8 after getting a five-spot boost in the newest rankings. The Blue Devils are favored and almost everyone is just assuming they get the win here because Coach K has Tom Izzo’s number.

Not so fast.

Michigan State has plenty of depth with 10-11 guys seeing the court on a regular basis through the first two games and the Spartans may have a little more experience as well. Duke is a young team, especially after losing Tre Jones, and there’s no Vernon Carey in the post this year.

If you’re looking for a game in which the Spartans can shock the nation and pull off a nice road win, silencing the “Duke is your daddy” critics, this is the one.

Plus, this team hasn’t forgotten last year’s debacle at Breslin in which the Spartans were the clear favorites and Duke ran them out of their own gym.

Michigan State gets the ‘upset’ win here at Cameron Indoor without the Crazies, improving to 3-0 on the young season.
