1. MSU makes more than 10 threes in win

In the win over Eastern Michigan, the Spartans made 12 shots from 3-point range on 28 attempts. That was good enough for a 43 percent clip.

That’s not too shabby for a team that lost Cassius Winston, a career 40-plus percent shooter from deep, and Kyle Ahrens who could make the occasional clutch three off the bench. It showed that this young team could actually make 3-point accuracy a strength.

To me, this was obvious heading into the season with shooters littered throughout the roster.

On Saturday night, we’re going to see another sharpshooting game from the Spartans as they’ll make at least another 10 deep-range shots on 25 attempts. Notre Dame’s defense will have trouble keeping up with the motions and the floor-stretching bigs.

Rocket Watts, Joshua Langford, Joey Hauser and Aaron Henry will use their playmaking abilities to create open shots and you’ll see this team gain even more confidence from deep.

More than 10 3-pointers made for the second straight game, leading to another double-digit win in East Lansing.
