2. Michigan State will beat each Big Ten team at least once

This seems like an incredible feat because, well, it is. The Spartans will take down each Big Ten team this season at least one time, and that includes the big boys.

In my preseason game-by-game predictions for 2020-21, I did predict a Michigan State loss to Illinois in East Lansing, but I said that it would be an instant classic and it would be decided by two points. That could go either way and for the sake of these bold predictions, I’m going to say the Spartans take down the Illini in their only matchup of the year.

Michigan State also faces Maryland, Penn State, Northwestern, Minnesota and Wisconsin once. The games against Penn State and Wisconsin are at home and the Spartans will take care of both tough opponents and the road games against Maryland, Northwestern and Minnesota are more than winnable.

I see the Spartans splitting matchups against Rutgers, Purdue, Iowa, Michigan and potentially Indiana or Ohio State. They should beat Nebraska twice and maybe Ohio State or Indiana.

In the end, the Spartans will record at least one win over every team.
