4. Joey Hauser averages a double-double

This seems like a steep accomplishment, but with Xavier Tillman gone, someone is going to have to be an elite rebounder. Joey Hauser can be that guy.

As a freshman with Marquette, he averaged 5.3 rebounds in 29.2 minutes. While that’s not incredibly impressive, that’s not why he was in the game and you can bet he is improving in that area. He’s a couple of years older now and Tom Izzo is going to need him to be a rebounder and better defender than he was at Marquette.

We’ll see that as he’ll be a solid offensive power forward, averaging 11 or 12 points per game while averaging around 10 rebounds.

Averaging a double-double in his first season with Michigan State will make him an instant fan favorite. Fans love stat-sheet stuffers and Hauser is going to be just that. He’ll average around 2-3 assists per game as he’s a plus-passing big man which makes his line even more impressive.
