Wide Receiver

Like linebacker, Michigan State does not have any wide receiver commits.

The current top four wide receivers at Michigan State are all a redshirt sophomore or younger, so this is not a huge position of need but there is no such thing as having too many athletes.

Six-foot-four receiver Keon Coleman from Louisiana has been on the Michigan State radar. He is rated a four-star prospect and is one of the top players in the country. Coleman also has offers from Oklahoma, Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, USC and Texas, so he might be a tough pull. Nonetheless, the staff will keep prying away at him in hopes of a commitment.

Michigan commit Andrel Anthony is another guy the staff will keep in contact with. He is from East Lansing and his best friend is Spartan lineman commit Ethan Boyd. Anthony posted a cryptic tweet after the win Saturday against Michigan. Many Michigan State players responded to the tweet, in effort to get him to flip.

Wide receiver is a very young, talented position group at Michigan State. Therefore, only one player is truly needed.

Courtney Hawkins and Mel Tucker will continue their efforts to gain a wideout commit in this next month and a half.
