1. Mel Tucker just ended the Jim Harbaugh era

Mel Tucker did the unthinkable on Saturday: He effectively ended the Jim Harbaugh era in Ann Arbor.

Remember when Michigan fans claimed that Harbaugh ran Mark Dantonio out of town after a 44-10 win in the rivalry last season? Well, the favor has seemed to have been returned. While Harbaugh may have no intention of moving on from Michigan right now, the fanbase seems fed up with the sixth-year man. He is 3-3 against Michigan State and 0-5 against Ohio State and he is just 1-5 against those two in Ann Arbor.

One win at home against your biggest rivals. Not good.

Saturday’s upset seemed to be the nail in the coffin for Harbaugh. All of the fans who he was in good graces with have turned their backs on him. They no longer have a reason to back him up and it’s all thanks to being out-coached by Tucker in his first rivalry game.

It might not be over after this season and Jim might be given another year, but we can look back to this win by Tucker and the Spartans as the beginning of the end for Harbaugh.
