3. Ricky White

Let Jim Harbaugh complain about the referees calling too many pass interferences which controlled how the defense could be played, but there was not one cornerback on this roster that could stop Ricky White on Saturday afternoon.

It took mugging, grabbing and pulling to slow White down, and guess what? He’s a freshman.

White finished with eight catches for 196 yards and a touchdown and looked like the best receiver on a field filled with four-star guys from Michigan. He was torching that secondary time and time again and this came after his one-catch performance against Rutgers. He got the start because of a Tre Mosley injury and he delivered.

We’ve been high on White here for months now and we’ve said that he’s going to break out and Saturday’s performance just validated that.

The freshman finished with the second-most yards ever in a Michigan rivalry game from a Spartan and he was darn near unguardable.

All aboard the Ricky White bandwagon.
