2. Ricky White is the real deal

I’ve been saying it for months now: Ricky White is that dude.

Michigan State lost Cody White this past offseason but there was another No. 7 with “White” on the back of his jersey making sure-handed catches all over the field on Saturday. Ricky looked like his predecessor in the same numbered jersey and made Michigan’s secondary look silly all afternoon long.

Jalen Nailor made some nice catches against the Wolverines and Jayden Reed was held in check all afternoon so White became Rocky Lombardi’s favorite target.

When Michigan State needed a big catch, he rose to the occasion.

The freshman finished with eight catches for 196 yards and a touchdown and looked like the best player on the field on multiple occasions. Michigan’s defensive backfield couldn’t keep up with him and he’s showing just why he was so highly touted out of high school.

Folks, we have a budding star on our hands.
