2. Michigan State finishes with a top-60 offense

Some programs may look at this and think, “How the heck is this a bold prediction?” Well, here at Michigan State, we’ve been bogged down and tormented by so many mediocre offenses that predicting a top-60 offense nationally is almost too bold.

Dave Warner ran the offense into the ground a couple of years ago and Brad Salem tried to pick up the pieces and could only do so much. He improved the offense, but not enough.

Now that the entire offensive staff is brand new and there are some intriguing coaches, the offense should improve drastically. Jay Johnson might not be the biggest hire at offensive coordinator, but intriguing young pieces like Will Peagler and Courtney Hawkins along with a coach like Chris Kapilovic should improve everything.

Theo Day will provide hope at quarterback and Elijah Collins will break out in the backfield and the receiving corps will be a pleasant surprise along with the tight ends. Oh, and Kapilovic will have that offensive line humming.

This will be a top-60 offense this year.
