5. Antjuan Simmons named first-team All-Big Ten

This might be the least bold of all my bold predictions on the list, which is why it’s No. 5 but Antjuan Simmons is going to be one of the three linebackers in the Big Ten named to the all-conference’s first team.

For two seasons, Simmons sat behind a loading linebacking corps for one of the best defenses in the Big Ten and he totaled 65 tackles, two tackles for loss and an interception.

And then he finally got his shot as a junior. He finished with a career-best 90 total tackles with 15 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. He also added two pass deflections and two forced fumbles. He was an All-Big Ten performer and it’s no surprise that he’ll be even better in 2020.

While he might not reach 100 tackles in nine games (including the crossover), it’s very possible that he does. He could also top his tackles for loss and sack totals if the Spartans make a bowl game as well.

Simmons is going to improve his NFL draft stock and finish as one of the best linebackers in the conference as an All-Big Ten first-teamer.
