Michigan State football’s season is finally close. Why should you be excited about seeing Mel Tucker and your Spartans take the field?

Michigan State Football is coming closer and closer as the days go on. While this team will probably go .500 if it’s lucky, there is still plenty to get excited about in East Lansing. I mean, we’re talking about football here. A few weeks ago, we though we’d be waiting until September of next year. But we’re not.

With under three weeks to go until MSU’s matchup against Rutgers, today marks the day that I start hyping up our below average Big Ten team. Between our bad offense and pretty good defense, what’s not to be pumped about? Seriously though, after a prolonged offseason that has felt like years, we’ll finally get a chance to watch our Michigan State Spartans take the field.

An entire new staff in place and a refreshed depth chart is enough to allow us to hit the ground running. We’ll not only be seeing a relatively new team, but we’ll be watching a whole different coaching staff do their thing.

Offensive coordinator Jay Johnson should be revitalizing the horrible offense that we’ve been forced to watch since 2016. Meanwhile, the defense shouldn’t take a huge step back with a great signing in defensive coordinator Scottie Hazelton.

Here are 3 reasons to get excited about Michigan State football in 2020.
