Receiving

Receiving yards: Jayden Reed
Receiving touchdowns: Jalen Nailor
Receptions: Jayden Reed

While the rushing leader was easy to predict, this category is a little tougher. Michigan State has a handful of guys who can lead the team in each receiving category, but I’m going out on a limb with these projections.

Jayden Reed, a transfer from Western Michigan, had 56 catches for 797 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman in 2018. He earned Freshman All-American honors and looked like one of the best receivers in the MAC. The former teammate of Payton Thorne is going to lead the Spartans in receptions and yards, but there will be another player pushing him.

The touchdowns leader will be Jalen Nailor who hasn’t really been able to remain healthy over his first two years in East Lansing, but the potential for greatness is there. He will be able to take a screen or slant and turn it into a touchdown with that speed. He will be a menace with the ball in his hands with yards after catch.

Don’t sleep on a guy like Tre Mosley who is the lead returning receiver after catching 21 passes for 216 yards and a touchdown asa. freshman or Matt Dotson and Trenton Gillison.
