Here’s a name that we will likely be hearing more of in the coming months and that’s because Tre Holloman might end up being the top priority in the class not just because of the position that he plays but because he’s an incredible talent.

The last time Michigan State tried to swing an elite point guard out of Minnesota, he ended up going to Duke and winning a national title. Tom Izzo hopes this time is different.

Holloman is listed as the No. 51 player in the class, according to the composite. He’s also the nation’s seventh-best point guard and No. 1 player from the state of Minnesota. He could fill a massive need at point guard with Foster Loyer gone and Rocket Watts likely be be headed off to the NBA by the 2022-23 season. AJ Hoggard could still be there and Jaden Akins, however.

The 6-foot-1, 165-pound point guard drives hard to the rim and finishes strong. He may not be the biggest guy on the floor, but he makes his presence known. He would be the perfect guy to run the offense under Izzo.

Holloman also holds offers from the likes of Minnesota, Baylor, Iowa, Marquette, Texas and Wisconsin. The Spartans may be the team to beat here.
