We all knew that whoever was tasked with replacing Cassius Winston would have some giant shoes to fill and it might not even be fair. Well, Rocket Watts is your guy.

The point guard position will be interesting this season as Watts, normally a two-guard, will be taking over as the starter with Foster Loyer and AJ Hoggard backing him up. We could even see someone like Josh Langford or even Aaron Henry running the point in a pinch, but Rocket will have the ball in his hands more often than not.

Everyone witnessed Watts take over certain games as a freshman and he barely scratched the surface. He had the ability to go on scoring runs of his own and put defenses on notice.

Watts finished his freshman season averaging 9.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists and you can bet all of those numbers will go up — some by at least double — as a sophomore.

There’s an overwhelming feeling that he’s going to be a breakout candidate for the green and white in 2020-21.
