3. Michigan State’s relationship with Boakye is strongest

There’s no way around it, Michigan State has the best relationship with Enoch Baokye and he fits the best in East Lansing.

According to Matt Charboneau of The Detroit News, Boakye has an underdog attitude and that’s exactly how Michigan State thrives. The Spartans have a handful of talented players who don’t believe they’re bigger than the program and Boakye fits that mold.

But the original point here is that Michigan State has the strongest bond with Boakye. For weeks now, the Spartans have been trending with the five-star from Canada and that’s about to pay off on Tuesday — at least that’s what I believe.

Boakye has also spoken very highly of Tom Izzo and that’s a major selling point with the five-star talent. Many recruits speak highly of Izzo, but the draw of playing for a Hall of Fame coach who values the importance of dominant big men with Dwayne Stephens molding them into All-Big Ten players and All-Americans is strong.

The Spartans have been trending with Boakye for week and his decision to commit this early after constant contact with MSU coaches is telling.
