Aggressiveness: Zach Randolph

MSU has had some great big men. Recently, we had the privilege of watching one of the best of all time in Xavier Tillman, who may not even be done around here. But through all of these guys, there hasn’t been a single one who had the same aggressiveness and willingness to get boards down low as Zach Randolph.

Recently retired, Randolph had a long, successful career in the NBA as one of the league’s best big men for a long time.

At Michigan State, Z-Bo was known for getting work done down low. It felt like he was in East Lansing for a long time, but he only wore the green and white for a single season before departing to the NBA.

Randolph is the type of player you love to have on your team, but you hate to come up against. Opposing teams can’t make a gameplay for him, they simply have to out-duel him down low.

We won’t see another guy quite like Randolph, and thats OK. He was one of a kind and Izzo even listed him as his “Dirty Worker”.
