3. PK80 green and gold

These beautiful Spartan green and gold uniforms are the perfect example of how gold thrives when it’s thrown into the mix with MSU uniforms. I always saw these uniforms as the basketball versions of Michigan State football’s Nike Pro Combat uniforms worn in 2012 and 2013.

Not entirely different than the normal jerseys, these have gold text in place of the normal white text, as well as a black added stripe that goes down the side of the uniform, running into a large gold Spartan head. This is all topped off with black shoes that showcase a small gold Nike stripe, finishing off a near-perfect uniform.

To add onto all of this, the kit was worn during a PK80 matchup against North Carolina where the Spartans defeated the Tar Heels in a defensively dominant showing to win the tournament. This matchup included notable players such as Cassius Winston, Joshua Langford, Miles Bridges, Xavier Tillman, Jaren Jackson Jr., Justin Jackson, Luke Maye, Theo Pinson and Joel Berry Jr.

Side note: Even though the uniforms worn during this game looked great, Tom Izzo wore one of the ugliest shirts/hoodies that a college basketball coach has ever worn (see below).

Not a great look, Tom.
