Tom Izzo has put dozens of players in the NBA. He’s got a few of them thriving right now. Which current Michigan State basketball alumni are the best?

Michigan State basketball is notorious for putting players in the NBA. Going to Michigan State as a high-level prospect means that you’re more than likely going to have a career in the pros, and even if you’re not, there’s a chance you could get to that status.

Tom Izzo is one of the best coaches in the business at prepping his players for the professional level. He may not always beat out Mike Krzyzewski and John Calipari for the high-fashion, one-and-done recruits, but he has landed his fair share.

Plus, Izzo’s style is coaching the less heralded four-year starters and turning them into stars.

There are currently six former Spartans in the NBA, and most of them have been rather successful. Tom Izzo recently has bagged a few guys who could potentially be one or two-and-dones, and it’s likely they could be successful pro players, but we won’t see them for the next few years.

So, let’s take a look at who the three best current Spartans are in the NBA.

Denzel Valentine, Bryn Forbes and Miles Bridges have had solid starts to their professional careers, but they just miss the cut. But, let’s give them an honorable mention.
