Talk about a man amongst boys. Mady Sissoko is that dude and he is only going to be scarier by his sophomore season. He’s coming in as a raw true freshman in 2020-21 but he’ll have plenty of time to work on his craft and post presence in his first year.

Plus, it’s not like he doesn’t have the body for the Big Ten. He’s 6-9, 230 pounds with a huge wingspan. If he’s not an offensive threat as a freshman, that’s OK because he still has defense.

With Xavier Tillman gone by 2021-22, Sissoko will figure to join the starting lineup as the most dominant post defender on the roster. Sure, there’s a scenario where Marcus Bingham Jr. fills this role, but until he gets his weight up and his offensive game tuned up, Sissoko might just be the best option in the starting five.

Sissoko was a surprise commit in the Spartans’ 2020 class because it came so suddenly, but he was ranked the No. 39 overall player in the country and eighth-best center. It’s only a matter of time before he cracks that starting lineup

What a way to round out this fantastic lineup.
