Is this a massive prediction I’m making here? You bet it is. Nothing has happened yet in the Max Christie recruitment to make it seem like he’s a lock to become a Spartan, but there’s a general good feeling about him ending up in East Lansing sooner rather than later. If that’s the case, I could see him stepping up to replace Aaron Henry at shooting guard in 2021-22.

Just imagine a starting five with two of the top 15 players in the 2021 class (assuming Emoni Bates reclassifies). That’s a scary thought for any Big Ten opponent.

Christie is one of the best players in the entire 2021 class and there’s a decent chance he could finish in the top 10 of the final 247Sports rankings by the time he gets to campus. Right now, he’s the No. 13 overall player in the country and No. 1 shooting guard, according to the composite.

If you’re looking for even more optimism and why Christie to Michigan State just makes so much sense, all you have to do is check out his player comparison on 247Sports by Brian Snow. He says that Christie is a first-round NBA draft talent and his game is comparable to Gary Harris.

Let’s get this kid in green and white and watch him flourish in Tom Izzo’s system.
