Which football positions would Michigan State basketball players line up at?

Rocket Watts, Running Back

Rocket Watts is the first on my list, since he’d clearly be an incredible football player. He earned the name “Rocket” at the age of five while playing pee wee football. Between his speed and court (or field in this case) vision, there shouldn’t be any doubt that he would be a generational talent at running back. I really think he could strap up in football pads today and make a huge impact on the field.

Like many running backs, he could also be considered for a wide receiver spot. Rocket’s athleticism knows no bounds and he’d definitely be a Desean Jackson-type receiver plus a little bit of height.

Aaron Henry, Safety

Some people may have expected me to put Aaron Henry at wide out or tight end, but something about Henry just strikes me as a classic hard-hitting safety.

The guy is fast and athletic, but still built pretty strong. He’d be a perfect guy to throw in there alongside Xavier Henderson and I genuinely believe he has the athletic ability to play D1 football.
