Michigan State Football: Ranking the 5 worst Spartan uniforms of all time
3. Nike shoulder stripe (2002)
Some people may actually be surprised to see these as low as the three spot, especially considering that a lot of Spartan fans hold the opinion that these are the worst Michigan State football uniforms of all time. Don’t get me wrong, these are pretty bad, but there are definitely two worse uniforms.

I think because of the fact that they were made by Nike and they were supposed to be really strong jerseys, they get a little undue criticism. But they’re still bad.
There was seemingly little to no effort put into these and the shoulder stripes are just not a good look by any measure. I don’t know how this got passed through the Nike team and approved as a college football uniform.
If I had to describe these uniforms to somebody who hadn’t seen them before, I’d tell them to imagine uniforms for an extra in a movie about high school football. They’re just flat out bad. Have you heard me say the word “bad” enough yet?
