5. Chrome helmets with white uniforms

I’d like to give the chrome helmets a pass because the idea behind them is actually pretty cool. If I saw the helmets and nothing else, I’d even consider them to be up there with the bronze and gold helmets, which are the two best helmets in school history.

But no uniform was built around this and the helmets were introduced along with a generally bad white uniform with green shoulder stripes. If more of an effort was given to match these to a more fitting uniform, we’d have something going there.

I believe that these would look great with an all-white uniform. Yes, Michigan State wore them with all whites, but the specific white uniforms that matched with this helmet were up there among the ugliest default Spartan uniforms of all time.
