Michigan State Football: Top 5 Spartan uniforms of all time

3. All green, black socks

When it comes to the best uniforms without any tweaks to the jersey or helmet design, these are by far and away the best option for MSU. I know the Spartans like to stick to the classic green jersey, white pants, white socks look, but this is clearly superior to that. If I was in charge of uniforms, Michigan State would wear this as its normal home uniform.

Something about the black shoes and socks just seems more menacing to me. It makes the guys look more athletic as opposed to the white socks, which just look kind of awkward.

Michigan State also wore these beauties in some great games, including an upset win against seventh-ranked Penn State in 2017 and the Rose Bowl win against Stanford in 2014. I would argue that wearing these even gives MSU a slight edge over opponents.
