2. Michigan State will upset a Big Ten powerhouse

Maybe I’ve become spoiled watching Mark Dantonio coach MSU for most of my life. Maybe I’m still being too optimistic because we’re deep in the offseason. Either way, I really think the Spartans can pull a big time upset this coming season.

Mark Dantonio didn’t leave behind great recruiting classes, but I do think that one of his mistakes may lead to good fortune for the green and white in 2020.

Over the past few seasons, there were some players who shouldn’t have been out on the field as much as they were. My main example, Josh Butler, got torched way too often to be a starter in a secondary that used to be referred to as the “No Fly Zone”. I love JB, but I can’t help but wonder who lost playing time while he was in the game and what that guy was capable of doing.

I think there’s more talent on this roster than a lot of people think and there are some guys itching for playing time. This will lead to a motivated team and a big time upset.
