Parks Gissinger’s name is awesome for obvious reasons. You could name on one finger how many people named Parks that you know and it’s this one right here.

With a name like Parks, this kid better spend 99 percent of his time outside.

Coming from California, Parks has one of the most unique names in college football and could soon have a larger role for Michigan State as a sophomore. He was recruited as a three-star defensive end from Los Angeles and his ceiling was incredibly high there, but due to a need on the other side of the ball, he made the switch to tight end. The new staff is likely to keep him there to start, so we could see him behind Matt Dotson and Trenton Gillison.

Michigan State’s new offense will feature more action from tight ends so if Dotson isn’t fully healthy to start the 2020 season, it wouldn’t be all that shocking to see Parks get some action. Jay Johnson wants to make the tight end the ‘MVP’ of the offense and that’s music to his ears.
